Art in Vegas

I was very inspired by this shoot. I got some really great shots in the Bellagio in the butterfly house thingermabobber

I also really liked some of the statues outside of Caesars

Top o' the Stratoshpere

We ventured up the building in the fastest elevator in the world. The view was tremendous. I got a lot of great shots that you can check out in my flickr stream

Love Las Vegas style

Finding Love in Las Vegas can be difficult. We ventured out on a cold morning and all I found was interesting signs to shoot. Perhaps if I went out today, Valentine's Day I would find some semblance of Love but I fear I have no heart for it.

Fremont Street

The first shoot of the semester was at Fremont Street. I have shot there before and this time I was focused on images that were not really obvious...something more indicitive of Fremont Street which is not a very nice neighborhood. It is located in "old Vegas" and was the original strip until the mega casinos moved in.

3 months later

Wow. It's been 3 months of silence from me. Going foward I will try to update more regularly. During my absence I lost a bit of motivation to create and when I say " a bit" I mean all. My desire and inspiration went the way of the dodo. It wasn't just for photography but also for cooking. If you aren't aware, in my other life I'm a Pastry Chef. At least for now I've rediscovered my passion for Photography, I am reinspired and have many ideasa for future projects. They are all very dark though, supernatural..scary.

Of course when viewed larger there is more detail to the eyes but I am still not perfectly happy with how they came out. This is my first attempt at manipulating eyes in such a way. By the end of the semester I should have a better way of doing it.
